The crib is set-up

We inherited a donated crib and got it set up tonight. I am impressed since Blake had no instructions. The quilt & doggie were made by Blake's mom, Eunice. She will be making the bed skirt as well. We are still going to try and put together the changing table tonight. We still have a lot to do, but it is starting to look like a nursery in there! We may hang some art tonight if we have time. Blake had a handmade ABC stitchery hanging in his room (made by his parent's friend, Sandy) as a baby and I had an ABC block piece (made by my grandmother) hanging in my room. The Palmer's had Blake's piece reframed and I am going to do a little simple fixing on my piece. We are then hanging both pieces in Jackson's room. I will post pictures later.

birthing class, crib & decor oh my!

we had our appointment yesterday and it was a good one! mr. jackson has moved and is no longer breech. yea! he is 6 lbs!!! a big boy, and yes he is still a boy. i am thinking he will be 8 lbs. when he is born. blake and i had our birthing class and we only have one thing to say....eewwwww! that is all. we are finally getting the nursery ready. we got a beautiful crib for free yesterday from a connection i know in the art world of salt lake. eunice and allen bought us a dresser yesterday too and i cannot wait to get the crib together. eunice is going to make the decor for the room (crib skirt, curtain, pillow, cushions, etc.) as opposed to us going out and spending a fortune to decorate the room. we still have 4 weeks till apple jacks graces us with his presence.

apple jacks is still a boy!

we had our dr. appt today. i had her check to make sure apple jacks is still a boy....and he is. yea! he is practicing his breathing even though he does not need to breath right now. he likes to keep his feet in his face so we can't see him. he is a very active little boy. i survived 4, 12-hour days in the heat at the utah arts festival. i did well in sales and will be able to pay for his birth. my feet and ankles are officially swollen. i need to drink more water and put my feet up. i am too busy to put my feet up so i will stick to drinking lots of water and icing them at night. only 6-8 more weeks left - crazy how time flies! we are painting his room this weekend! a nice taupe color....sounds boring for us, i know! but the art and decor is brightly colored so it will go nice with neutral walls. well, off to icing my feet!
